The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat adult patients in home health settings to restore muscle strength, coordination, and function. They will work as part of a team to deliver exemplary care according to physician orders.

Let us exceed your expectation.Job DescriptionTheracare is currently seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to deliver exemplary care and enthusiasm in working with our adult population in the Home Health Care settings.

This is a PRN position for the La Porte area.Easy access to local Regional Management Staff for supportFlexible scheduling QualificationsThe Occupational Therapist would evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with the orders from the physician, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination, body alignment, to relieve pain, improve movement and function.

The Occupational Therapist will work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Occupational Therapy.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Occupational TherapyCurrent state license/certificationCurrent registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification BoardPrefer minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitationNew Graduates are welcome to applyExcellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in specific therapy disciplineKnowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements Additional InformationA great opportunity to make your own schedule for that ideal work/life balance.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy and maintain current state licensure and NBCOT certification. While one year of rehabilitation experience is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
