Responsible for the care, maintenance, and functioning of anesthesia and surgical equipment and supplies. Assists anesthesiologists and nursing staff in providing direct patient care.
Requires a high school diploma, at least two years of college, and BLS certification. Candidates should have one year of recent relevant experience in medical equipment maintenance.
EDUCATION: HS Diploma: High School or General Education Diploma, or equivalent education/experience Other: Minimum two years of college. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 1-year recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of principles/applications of aseptic technique; care/maintenance of anesthesia-related equipment; care/maintenance of surgical equipment. Knowledge of the English language with/ written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and problem-solve. Interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Basic Computer Skills Ability to effectively demonstrate inventory control.
