About the role

Provide immediate on-site behavioral health crisis intervention services to individuals in the community experiencing mental health or substance use distress. Assess needs and implement appropriate interventions, including de-escalation and safety planning, while collaborating within a mobile response team.

This position is subject to on-call requirements.

Position Summary

This is a professional position that provides immediate, on-site behavioral health crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, and emotional distress crises in the community. Working within a collaborative team, the therapist will assess needs, provide support, determine appropriate interventions including de-escalation, safety planning and referral to additional services. This role requires the therapist to be mobile, responding to calls across a variety of community settings. Employee must reside in the county where Mobile Crisis Response Team services are provided.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree and New Mexico state licensure as a mental health counselor, social worker, or psychologist. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in crisis work and possess a valid driver's license.
