• MCDC is the only in-patient chemical dependency treatment center administered by the state.
• We serve individuals 18 and older who have been diagnosed as having an addiction to drugs or alcohol or who suffer from both addiction and mental disorders.
• Responsibilities of the Treatment Technician include: 1) Communicates with patients to understand needs and assists with activities of daily living; 2) Records patient data such as behavioral observations, vital signs, symptoms, etc.; and 3) Gathers information for patient admissions and inputs into the system.
• This position is an on call role and does not have standard set hours.

Qualifications

for this Career Opportunity: Ability to communicate information both orally and in writing. Ability to make observations and report/ record them accurately. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time. Ability to operate a personal computer and general Office Equipment as necessary to complete the essential functions including using spreadsheet, word processing, data base, e-mail, and other computer programs. Meet minimum qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent Two years of job-related experience working with people in healthcare setting. Must have or willing to obtain prior to hire date a valid CPR/AED/FIRST AID certification card.
