Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant provides Front/Back office duties to various Pulmonary providers in an outpatient setting. This position is a traveling MOS who will be primarily supporting providers at Mercy Downtown and Lutherville Personal Physicans.

Front Office Duties

• Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule and confirm patient appointments and procedures Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or fees as needed. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers.

• Duties: Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR). Administer injections and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers. (on-site training provided) Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one-year experience in a medical office setting (preferred)
