The technician is responsible for caring for and maintaining all surgical instrumentation. They are also tasked with setting up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Candidates must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician with a high school diploma and 2-3 years of experience. Proficiency with various sterilizers and knowledge of operating room instrumentation are required.
The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
