The primary role is to act as a physician extender for minor procedures and assist in direct patient care services. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiographic studies.
Candidates must be licensed as a Physician Assistant and certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. Two years of Physician Assistant experience is preferred, along with BLS and ACLS certifications.

Competitive salary Monday – Friday 8am - 5pm EST - NO CALL, NO EVENINGS, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS Full comprehensive benefits Primary role is to be a physician extender/substitute for procedures performed in radiology Assist in the performance of direct patient care services and inpatient consults Assists physician with physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries Under the supervision of a physician, develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes Procedures: central lines, tunneled catheters, chest tubes, paracentesis, thoracentesis, superficial biopsies, lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrograms, abscess drainage, thyroid biopsies, fluoro, etc. LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW Radiology Partners Florida is seeking an experienced, full-time, certified, Physician Assistant to join our expanding practice and service line in the Tampa, FL area at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing procedure-based radiology services in both hospital and clinic-based practice setting, such services to include but not limited to pre-procedure evaluation and preparation of patients undergoing interventional or other image- guided radiologic procedures, evaluation of patients in consultation, inpatient hospital rounds, and long-term patient follow-up. The candidate will represent the practice in interactions with hospital staff, referring clinicians, patients, and the health care community in general. We have an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow throughout our practice. DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Procedural based experience is required. Current PA license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida required Board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) BLS AND ACLS certification required COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $140,000-$170,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
