The Medical Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care to support physicians in an ambulatory care setting. They perform routine medical assisting procedures to ensure patient comfort, safety, and quality of care.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited medical assistant program. Certification through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA and CPR certification are required within specific timeframes post-hire.
Bonus: $2,500 The Oncology Medical Assistant works closely with the oncologist, practice manager, nurse and other colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for taking vital signs, medical histories and collecting labs while maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment. We are seeking an individual with effective communication skills who is also able to offer compassionate support to patients and families. Competencies:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a one-year medical assistant program or an accredited two-year medical assisting program Previous experience or training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Licensure: Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA is preferred at hire and required within 90 days
CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
