The RN is responsible for safely delivering infusion therapy and administering biologic medications to patients with chronic and acute illnesses. Key duties include performing patient assessments, documenting physician orders, and providing patient education.
Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a current, unrestricted RN license and BLS certification. One year of nursing experience and prior infusion or EMR experience are preferred.
include: Perform analysis of patient data including status of lab work, patient assessments Report changes to referring physician Make recommendations for patient care Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments Provide patient education; participates in clinic quality improvement process. Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols. Administer medications, infusion therapy, and other appropriate treatments per prescriber orders, and under the supervision of the clinic mid-level provider Document, verify and ensure implementation of physician orders, accurate and timely clinical documentation. Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution. Deliver care with appropriate age and cultural competence to specific patient populations according to individualized needs. Maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and client facility staff. Provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Associate degree in Nursing and current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice. Must have a current, CPR certification (BLS minimum, including hands-on/in-person assessment). Minimum of one years’ experience providing nursing care preferred. Infusion experience preferred; Telephone, MS Office and computer/keyboard skills required. Previous EMR experience preferred.
