The technician is responsible for maintaining and caring for all surgical instruments. They prepare necessary supplies and instruments for various surgical cases.
Candidates need a high school diploma and 1-2 years of sterile processing experience. A sterile process certification and knowledge of operating room procedures are preferred.

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications: · High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
· Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
· Experience with all types of sterilizers
· Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
· Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
· Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed

Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to an individual’s qualifications and experience.
