The CMA is responsible for rooming patients, recording vitals, and performing clinical tasks like injections, venipuncture, and EKG testing. Additionally, they manage procedure room setup, biohazard waste disposal, and supply stocking under the Practice Manager's supervision.
Candidates must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with active certification from AAMA, NCCT, or NHA and hold a BLS certification. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience is preferred.
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate, patient-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Pediatrics Clinic!
Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will room patients, record vital signs, administer injections, urinalysis, set up and clean up procedure rooms for in-office procedures, properly discard all biohazard and sharps waste, and stock supplies. Must demonstrate good principles and practices of aseptic technique, knowledge of standard precautions, urinalysis, and basic pharmacology.
