The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting and receiving laboratory samples while verifying patient preparation and transport requirements. They also maintain supplies and participate in quality improvement activities related to sample processing.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with BLS certification from the AHA or Red Cross. Candidates must hold or be eligible for certification from recognized agencies such as ASCP, AMT, or NHA within six months of hire.
