GENERAL OVERVIEW: Performs basic clinical and administrative functions to support genetic counseling and risk assessment for individuals at risk. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates and updates patient pedigrees in risk assessment software. (20%) Assists genetics counselors in communication of normal test results to patients and physicians. (20%) Administers patient intake forms and completes family histories. (20%) Retrieves patient MR, scans EHR, performs maintenance on genetic counseling data. (20%) Assists with the creation of patient education, lecture and seminar materials. (10%) Assists in clinical investigations by performing literature searches. (5%) Performs other duties assigned.
