Assists physicians in performing a wide range of interventional radiology procedures while managing the operation and quality control of radiological equipment. Responsible for patient preparation, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring accurate medical record documentation and billing.
This is a per diem interventional radiology technologist role that will be utilized on an as needed basis.
We perform vascular procedures under moderate sedation.
The center is open Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.
You will need ARRT and state RT license.

We are a brand new state of the art facility with new equipment and two of the most experienced IRs in the region with a full complement of nursing staff performing the full gamut of the latest complex and interesting procedures that include peripheral arterial disease, UFEs, prostate embolizations, liver embolizations, percutaneous dialysis AV fistula creations, dialysis interventions, venous ablations, peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, biopsies, chemotherapy port placement and venous access.

Assists physicians in performing all types of interventional radiology procedures. Responsible for the operation and quality control of the radiological equipment in accordance with FMC policies, procedures and training. Assists with the inventory and ordering of supplies.

The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 400 pounds. Must be able to stand in a protective apron for up to 45-60 minutes.

High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
Must have ARRT Certification, and be a licensed Radiology Technician by the Department of Health
Per state requirements - must be licensed in radiology.
Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
