Assists physicians in performing invasive cardiac procedures and provides direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all Cath Lab equipment.
Requires graduation from an accredited RCIS, nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging, or exercise physiology program. Must hold BCLS and ACLS certifications, with specific licensure based on the educational background.
Overview Piedmont Newnan Cath Lab Tech Full Time Status
Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.
Education Graduate of an accredited a RCIS program Required or Graduate of an accredited program in nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging, or exercise physiology. Required Work Experience 1 year Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience Required or No experience required if a graduate of an RCIS program Required Licenses and Certifications Based on healthcare experience (see above), applicable license. Upon Hire Required and RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist If a graduate of RCIS program RCIS within 2 Years Required or RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required or RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Upon Hire Required BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and ACLS Upon Hire Required Business
