The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department. This includes collaborating with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans and promoting evidence-based practice.
Candidates must hold a current Minnesota RN license and BLS certification, with 1-2 years of experience in an Emergency Department or ICU. ACLS, TNCC, and ENCP certifications are required to be completed within a specific timeframe post-hire.
This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the night shifts and will also work every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes. Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs. Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes. Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes. Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) Required Qualifications Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be completed before the end of orientation. TNCC certifications to be complete no more than one year post hire. ENCP: If the RN has never had it, need to complete no more than on year post hire. 1-2 years of current RN Emergency Department or ICU experience.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting.
