Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Borage Mercer County, WV | Full-Time Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center (SHCMHC)

Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Mercer County. The DSP plays a vital role in supporting individuals by assisting with daily living, safety, emotional support, and overall wellness needs in a community-based setting.

At SHCMHC, we are proud to serve our communities as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), providing comprehensive behavioral health services and support regardless of ability to pay.

  • Job responsibilities
  • Assist consumers with daily living and support needs
  • Promote safety, independence, and overall well-being
  • Provide emotional and social support in a professional manner
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and team members
  • Utilize approved verbal and physical interventions when necessary
  • Support consumers in community-based environments and activities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to physically assist consumers as needed
