The PACU RN is responsible for assessing post-operative patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing patient recovery until discharge criteria are met. They must also perform emergency interventions and maintain accurate patient records in a multi-specialty surgical environment.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license and 1-3 years of PACU experience. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required, and experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.

The PACU RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The PACU RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The PACU RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The PACU RN reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.
