• Radiation Therapy RN Role As a Radiation Therapy RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving radiation treatments.
• You’ll assess and monitor patient status, manage symptoms and side effects, educate patients and families, and collaborate closely with radiation oncologists and therapists to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Main Tasks Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after radiation therapy Provide patient education on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care Manage and document symptoms, side effects, and interventions Collaborate with radiation oncologists, therapists, and the oncology care team Offer emotional support to patients and families throughout the treatment process Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• Current DC RN license (or eligible to obtain) BLS certification (AHA-certified)
• Minimum 2 year of oncology or acute care nursing experience
