Requires a Master's degree for NPs or completion of an ARC-PA program for PAs, along with active New York State licensure and national certification. 1-2 years of experience in neurology, acute medicine, or primary care is preferred.
NP/PA FT position, Days, Monday-Friday, no holidays required Exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team in the URMC Headache Center, a division in the Department of Neurology, caring for a variety of patients with headache disorders and facial pain, including migraine with and without aura, tension-type, cluster, post-traumatic, post-concussive, and chronic daily headaches. Responsibilities include evaluation, development of individualized treatment plans including acute and preventive drug therapy, education, trigger identification and management, trigger point, occipital, Botox and other peripheral nerve injections. Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
1-2 years of experience as NP or PA in neurology, acute medicine, or primary care is preferred. Other experience will be considered. Must have national certification through ANCC or ACNP. Nurse Practitioner Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner. Physician Assistant Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
