The CRNP is responsible for assessing and treating a variety of everyday medical conditions, including taking patient histories and ordering tests. They design treatment plans and provide health education on nutrition and hygiene to patients.
Candidates must hold a valid CRNP certification, DEA registration, and an unrestricted Pennsylvania license. Requirements include experience with trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and the ability to work with underserved populations.
Take patient’s medical history Update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments Order tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform Review test results to identify any abnormal findings Recommend and design a plan of treatment Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene QualificationsLicensure and Clearances: Current and valid CRNP Certification Current DEA registration Active and unrestricted license in Pennsylvania. Successful passing of Child Abuse and FBI Clearances.
Strong communication skills with both professionals and patients from all demographics. Experience with patient-centered, trauma-informed care. LGBTQ+ cultural competency. Commitment to providing high quality care to historically underserved populations. Knowledge and comfort working with patients with drug and alcohol use disorders. Understanding on how to navigate medical systems. Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word, and how to use Electronic Medical Records. Ability to be compassionate while dealing with patients Ability to work collaboratively in team-based care.
