Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing high-quality care for residents in a long-term care setting. This includes administering medications and collaborating with medical staff to execute physician orders.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and licensed as an LPN in the State of Minnesota. Previous experience in geriatric nursing is preferred, and the ability to perform moderate to heavy physical work is required.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota Previous experience in geriatric nursing preferred. Responsible for assessing, planning and implementing resident needs ensuring quality resident care. Provides input and updates on resident care plan ensuring car plan is followed. Obtains, administers and monitors effectiveness of medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Communicates with medical staff to ensure prompt quality care and carries out physician orders as directed. Strong leadership, initiative, and independent judgment skills required. Flexibility to handle changing situations and emergency needs. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Computer experience and proficiency required to maintain EMR. Job involves moderate to heavy physical work. Frequent standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting weights in excess of 25 pounds.
