Partner with Medical Oncologists to provide comprehensive care for Hematology and Oncology patients across multiple locations. Serve as a clinical resource for chemotherapy nurses and engage with patients throughout all aspects of their treatment.
Must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a valid Maryland license and a background in Oncology. Proficiency in Epic and strong communication skills are required or preferred.
The Institute for Cancer Care at Mercy combines the skill of gifted surgeons, a team of highly-trained oncology specialists, access to the latest, most appropriate technology and medications, leading edge clinical trials and research, as well as state-of-the-art facilities. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Medical Oncology team to work as a partner to our Medical Oncologists to see Hematology/Oncology patients and support the care of those patients, to be a resource for our chemotherapy nurses while patients are under treatment and to be engaged with our patients in all aspects of their care. This position requires travel to several locations, including our Downtown Hospital (Baltimore, MD), Lutherville, and Glen Burnie.
Must have completed a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. License Requirements: Maryland PA License or Maryland NP Certification Certification Requirements: NCCPA, ANCC/AAN EPIC experience preferred Background in Oncology required Must be computer literate or learn within 6 months Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner Must be able to work efficiently and possess the ability to make decisions when circumstances warrant such action Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees Must be able to follow written and oral instructions Must be able to travel to various locations #LI-KZ1 #INDHP

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
