The role involves assigning appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes to various medical charges and verifying patient insurance accuracy. The coder is also responsible for running daily balancing reports and maintaining professional communication with patients and staff.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid Medical Coding Certification. Strong computer skills, ethical character, and the ability to pass a security check are also required.
