As our practice and endoscopy center continue to grow, we are recruiting additional advanced practitioners to join our provider team to help us accommodate our increasing patient base.
The Advanced Practitioner position is supported by several supporting departments within the practice including physicians, medical secretaries, triage nursing, call center, prior authorizations department, clearance request department, radiology authorization/scheduling department and medical records department. These supporting departments handle many of the routine needs of the patient allowing you to focus more on direct patient care needs. The position is a full-time Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm position.
Primary Responsibilities Office based position with NO night or weekend call responsibilities Pre-op history and physicals Acute problem assessment, work up and treatment Manage own patient panel for chronic illness treatment and management Patient education Reviewing test results and initiating follow-up treatment as necessary Follow up and post procedure visits After training and orientation (2-4 months) sees patients every ½ hour with max of 16/day
Completion of certified PA/NP program Current NYS License DEA required Gastroenterology or internal medicine experience in an office setting helpful New graduates considered
$115,000-$140,000 - Salary varies based on skills, experience and qualifications
