1 and group treatment to help individuals maximize occupational participation in daily activities. Responsibilities include developing person-centered plans of care, documenting progress, and coordinating with treatment teams to address mental and physical impairments.
Requires a degree in Occupational Therapy and valid state licensure (OTR/OTA-L). Candidates must have at least 2 years of mental health experience and specific experience working with children or youth in crisis settings.

What You'll Do: 1. Collaboratively address the occupational needs of individuals, groups and populations via provision of quality and outcome oriented occupational therapy services, by assessing and interpreting individuals’ and group assessment and evaluation results and determining appropriate treatment. 2. Develop a plan of care and group protocols to help individuals and groups address barriers to occupational participation via person and occupation-centered interventions. 3. Lay out the types of activities and specific goals to be accomplished which will be incorporated in the individual’s person-centered plan 4. Document goals, applicable interventions and progress adhering to reimbursement and practice act standards. 5. Collaborate with treatment team for care coordination and incorporation of OT services in the individual’s person-centered plan. 6. Promote occupational engagement and participation by selecting and utilizing appropriate screens, assessments and interventions for individuals, groups and populations based on the occupational profile and desired functional outcomes. 7. Address both mental and physical impairments impacting occupational performance, as well as contextual barriers and recommend compensatory strategies, to include but not limited to recommendations and trainings for assistive technology, adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment. 8. Complete home safety evaluations and provide workplace accommodations consultation to support independent living and employment, respectively. 9. Educate an individual’s family and/or employer about how to accommodate and support occupational engagement. 10. Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing and instructing individuals, families, and caregivers in occupation-centered interventions; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment and recommending additional services as needed. 11. Assess and document individual and group progress for billing, reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers and communication to team members. 12. Plan, organize, and hold group sessions at least three times weekly. 13. Attend and actively participate in meetings and trainings as required. 14. Maintain certification/licensure in all agency, state and federal training requirements. 15. Maintain all necessary documentation and records in a timely manner. This may include the use of an Electronic Health Record system (EHR). 16. Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well and service definitions related to specific programs. 17. Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. 18. Driving and travel may be required. 19. Additional
