The Residential Specialist serves as a positive role model for residents to develop socially effective values and behaviors. They are responsible for contributing to the formulation and implementation of resident treatment plans.
Candidates need a Bachelor's in Human Services, an Associate's with 3 months experience, or a High School Diploma with 6 months experience working with adults with substance use disorders. Alternatively, certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist for the State of Virginia is acceptable.
