The Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery (CVTS) Physician Assistant provides high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with supervising physicians, practicing within the scope of their education, training, and clinical experience. This role supports the full continuum of cardiac and thoracic surgical care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management.
In emergency situations, the Physician Assistant is authorized to provide immediate medical and surgical care when delay would result in serious harm or threat to life, in accordance with hospital policies and applicable regulations.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program, NCCPA certification, and a current New York State Physician Assistant license. A Master's degree and at least 2 years of cardiovascular or thoracic surgery experience are preferred.
