Provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis and scaling, while maintaining accurate patient records. Assist with policy development, infection control, and the implementation of the dental department's Quality Improvement Plan.
Requires at least two years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program and a valid Pennsylvania license. CPR certification is required, and at least one year of experience is strongly preferred.
Reports to Chief Dental Officer: Full-time, exempt

The Dental Hygienist provides preventive and therapeutic dental services to patients within the scope of practice of Registered Dental Hygienists according to Pennsylvania standards. The Dental Hygienist also maintains proper dental records and timely completion of billing information.

Our doors opened in October 2008 with 39 medical and dental patients seen that first week and we’ve grown to see thousands of medical and dental patients each year. As a non-profit community health center, we have been organized to become the patient’s medical home for preventive care and to promote overall well-being, thus reducing the number of emergency room visits.
