Perform general and vascular ultrasound studies to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and organ malfunctions. Manage the full imaging lifecycle from order verification to delivering images via PACS in various hospital settings.
Requires an Associate's Degree in Ultrasound Technology and registration with ARDMS, ARRT(S), or equivalent, including RVT certification. Current CPR certification is mandatory, and 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred.
Perform all general and vascular ultrasound studies to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and organ malfunction. Select appropriate transducers and adjust equipment controls based on organ depth and field specifications; creatively obtain images while adhering to departmental standards. Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety; assist with positioning and immobilization; and maintain constant communication to ensure safety and comfort. Manage the full imaging lifecycle—from verifying orders in the RIS and selecting exams from the worklist to labeling, measuring, and delivering images to PACS via DICOM send. Function independently in high-stress environments (ER/OR) and consult with attending physicians or supervisors regarding test results. Maintain a "team-first" attitude and uphold the hospital's R.I.S.E. values in all interactions with patients and staff. Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent in Ultrasound Technology. Must be registered with ARDMS, ARRT(S), or equivalent. Must be a registered RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or equivalent. 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training is preferred.
