The Technologist Assistant provides direct patient care and performs delegated skills under the supervision of a registered technologist. Responsibilities include safely transporting patients to and from nursing units and diagnostic areas while maintaining confidentiality.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. The role requires the ability to correctly identify patients and recognize their limitations to provide appropriate assistance.

Technologist Assistant serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered technologist. The tech assistant will perform technologist care skills that have been delegated by the supervising technologist, as well as escorts/transports patients to/from nursing units and diagnostic areas safely with respect for confidentiality as assigned. Correctly identifies patients, recognizes their limitations and obtains additional information and assistance as needed.
