About the role

The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care for cardiac rehab patients and their families. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competency, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe therapeutic environment.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

  • Position: RN - Cardiac Rehab
  • Location: Highland Park
  • Hours: PRN, as needed, Hours of operation are 630a-530p

What you will do

  • Provide direct nursing care and clinical monitoring for cardiac rehab patients during exercise and recovery sessions
  • Assess patient response to exercise, including vital signs, telemetry rhythms, symptoms, and overall tolerance
  • Educate patients on cardiac health, medications, risk factor reduction, diet, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate with physicians, exercise physiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation, patient records, and communication related to treatment plans, progress, and patient outcomes

What you will need

  • Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse; cardiac rehab experience preferred
  • IL RN nursing license
  • CPR – BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • CPR - ACLS within six months of hire

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Illinois Nursing license and AHA CPR certification. Preference is given to those with at least one year of staff nursing experience, particularly in critical care settings like ICU or ER.
