About the role

Provide addiction and substance use disorder assessments, education, and therapy for clients in individual and group settings. Perform all 12 core functions of substance abuse counseling with a focus on therapy and didactic presentations.

Pavillon's outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program located in Mill Spring, North Carolina seeks full-time licensed or certified Outpatient Counselor. Hybrid work schedule.

Responsible for providing addiction/substance use disorder assessment, education, counseling and therapy for clients in individual and/or group setting. Works proficiently in all 12 core functions of SA counseling with emphasis in the areas of: assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, didactic presentations.

Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or a related field; and have appropriate state licensure/certification or working towards. At least 3 years’ experience in addiction or substance use disorder field preferred.

Requirements
