Assist providers with clinical ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and patient communication. Responsible for documenting medical histories and maintaining sterilized ophthalmic equipment.
Requires a high school diploma and basic knowledge of medical terminology and office software. One year of experience as an ophthalmic assistant is preferred.
Assist providers in performing clinical functions such as ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and status communication to the patient and provider Ensures the patient understands all instructions. Take and document patients' medical histories. Operates ophthalmic equipment Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology Problem-solving math skills Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite or G-Suite Effectively work in a team environment. Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability Strong interpersonal skills Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person Ability to maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred
