Job Description
At Children's Wisconsin, we believe that even the shortest hospital visit can make a lifelong impact. Our Day Surgery team plays a vital role in helping children and families feel supported and cared for during outpatient surgical procedures. We're looking for compassionate and detail orientated professionals to join our dedicated Day Surgery family.
Hours
- Tier II PRN are required to submit 96 hours total of availability for a 6 week schedule and a total of 66 hours will be chosen from those hours. Of the 96 hours submitted, it is required for at least 3 days to be Fridays and 30 of those hours should be off shifts. The off shifts can be any day of the week, but include hours that go beyond 3pm (i.e. 9:30am-6pm). Day Surgery is not open weekends or holidays. Responsibilities include being a partner in the care management team, providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care and delegating patient activities as appropriate within a care management assignment.
- Position
- Requires: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). 2 years of prior nursing experience. A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Candidates must show proof of license on or before first day of employment. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
