Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you would check and set up instruments, perform counts, and scrub in to assist the Surgeon at the table during invasive and surgical procedures. Other responsibilities may include: handling specimens, assisting with patient positioning and transfers, and participating in OR turnover.

Position-Specific Benefits include

You are eligible for up to 160 hours of paid time off per year based on your Full or Part Time status. Surgical Techs are eligible for $4.25/hr for On-Call pay. We also offer a number of employee discounts to various activities, services, and vendors... And employee parking is always free!

Technician

Shift: 36 hours weekly, 2 -8'a and 2-10s.

Start times would be 6:45am, 9:00am and/or 1100 based on need.. No holiday, weekend or call.

Experience

One year of Operating Room experience preferred.

Education

Successful completion of an accredited course in Operating Room Technology.

Licensures/Certifications

Surgical Technician Certification (CST) Preferred if surgical technician training occurred on or before 12/29/2020 and candidate practiced clinically at any time during the two preceding years. Certified Surgical Technologist (by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Certification required within 60 days of date of hire, if surgical training took place on or after 12/29/2020.

Requirements

Requires completion of an accredited Operating Room Technology course and CST certification within 60 days of hire for recent graduates. One year of Operating Room experience is preferred.
