Responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and oxygen saturation levels for patients via telemetry equipment. The role involves interpreting rhythms, reporting changes to RNs, and maintaining the integrity of the monitoring system.
Candidates must successfully pass a proctored EKG examination during the interview process. Preferred qualifications include telemetry or arrhythmia certification, or completion of a Paramedic, EMT, or nursing program.
Required Qualifications: Must successfully complete the Scripps Health EKG Examination during interview process
Completion of formal telemetry training which may include a class or online course OR electrocardiogram (EKG) OR Arrhythmia Certification course OR completion of a Paramedic, Cardio-Vascular, EMT, MD, or RN Program, OR other cardiac related programs 6 months of Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred Basic Arrhythmia Certification EKG certification EMT experience
