Provide a 24/7 family-like home environment for individuals with developmental or physical disabilities. Use best practices and technology to teach physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills to promote independence.
Must be at least 21 years old with one year of caregiving experience and a clean background check. Requires completion of specific training hours, a physical exam, and passing a state life safety inspection.
At least 21 years of age, pass a background check, and obtain a Level One Fingerprint card Adequate transportation At least 1 year of previous work experience as a caregiver Willing to complete 22 hours of training through Community Options (CDH Providers are required to complete an additional 15 hours of Foster Parent College training) Provide 3-character references Provide paystubs for at least 1 month Complete an annual physical Pass the State of Arizona Life Safety Inspection Complete the interview process with a licensing specialist Submit all required documents for the licensing process Must be open to supervisory visits in your home, including unannounced visits Development Home Providers are contracted and reimbursed at a daily habilitation rate, PLUS they receive monthly room and board from the individual they support – this income is tax-exempt.
