The Lab Assistant is responsible for performing competent and expedient venipuncture, skin punctures, and blood cultures. They must accurately label test tubes, maintain phlebotomy logs, and prioritize urgent orders to ensure patient safety.
Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent and hold a current State Laboratory Assistant licensure. A current BLS certification is also required.
