Provide integrated behavioral health support, peer mentoring, and care coordination to members with mental health and substance use challenges. Deliver services in-home and in the community to help members achieve recovery goals and improve their quality of life.
Requires a Peer Support Specialist Certification and a valid Arizona Driver's license with a clean driving record. Education requirements vary from a high school diploma with 2 years of experience to a Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare.
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) promotes member recovery through hope, respect, self‑direction, and empowerment. This role provides integrated behavioral health support, peer support, education, care coordination, advocacy, and community-based services. The BHT works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the seamless integration of medical, behavioral health, and wellness services. Services are provided in-home, in the community, and within agency settings to assist members with mental health and/or substance use challenges in achieving recovery goals and improved quality of life.
