Job description
FT, 72 hrs/pp, 0.9 FTE; varies as scheduled. (1 Position)
Under the direction of the nurse manager or designee, i.e., RN, Physician, assists in the care and treatment of patients consistent with training and scope of certification and/or licensure, this individual is responsible for answering call lights, bathes, dresses and undresses patients, serves and collects food trays and feeds patients requiring help.
Transports patients within facility using wheelchairs, wheeled carts, or assists patients to walk.
Turns and repositions patients alone or with assistance.
Obtain and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respirations and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
Assist with stocking linens in patient rooms and stocking supplies such as IV/blood draw kits.
Prepares patient room for admit and assist the nurse with patient discharges.
Required: Graduate of medical assistant program (preferred) or CNA training program required,
BLS and CNA, or MA-C.
Preferred
Previous patient care tech experience required, 6 months Acute Care experience preferred, Bilingual Spanish preferred.
