Assist nursing leadership in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care for adolescent to geriatric patients. Facilitate age-appropriate individual and group activities while ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
Requires one year of experience in mental health, residential/group home settings, or a degree in a social services related field. Must obtain BCLS certification within one month and complete de-escalation training within six weeks of hire.
This position assists with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of selected technical aspects of patient care under direct supervision of the Charge RN, Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager and/or the Director, to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies as well as meeting the goals and mission of the department. Provides direct and indirect care for adolescent to geriatric patients to aid meeting the patients’ needs as directed. Provides patients with activity opportunities appropriate to their ages and abilities and related to their plan for care, either individually and/or in group settings. Education Qualifications: 1 year experience working with persons with mental health symptoms or related applicable experience OR Degree in social services related field OR Residential/Group Home experience. The experience needed is Residential/Group Home experience or Child/Adolescent experience in a mental health setting.
