The Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor performs various laboratory functions to support patient care, including conducting phlebotomy procedures and processing specimens. They are also responsible for resolving problems and adapting their communication style to different patient populations.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preferred completion of a phlebotomy course. Candidates should possess computer skills, effective communication abilities, and knowledge of venipuncture procedures.
