Neurophysiology EEG Technologist

Helps maintain the laboratory inventory. Keeps laboratory in a neat and orderly fashion.

Attends departmental staff and in-service meetings as required.

Follows all established departmental policies and procedures. Maintains patient safety and patient confidentiality at all times.

Must be available to work on-call, off shift and weekends.

Qualifications

Graduation from an EEG training program or Associates Degree program. Six months or more experience working in a patient care environment. Eligible for ABRET certification to be completed within 2 years from date of hire. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Ability to perform routine/sleep EEGs and long term monitoring continuous bedside EEGs on patients of all ages. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ambulatory inpatients and outpatients are performed in the EEG laboratory. Bedside tests are performed on non-ambulatory and ICU patients on the floors.
