The Housing Specialist provides supportive services and financial assistance to help chronically homeless individuals and families maintain permanent housing. Responsibilities include creating individualized service plans, conducting strengths-based assessments, and coordinating with community service providers.
Requires a high school diploma with 1-3 years of related experience, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree. Candidates must possess a valid New York State Driver's License and have access to reliable transportation.
Liberty Resources is seeking a Full Time Housing Specialist in Oneida, NY with our OMH Supportive Housing program.

The Housing Specialist provides high-quality supportive services to ensure individuals and families maintain their permanent housing as well as assists in providing financial assistance to facilitate and maintain independent housing for eligible recipients.
HS Diploma or equivalent and one to three (1-3) years’ related experience required. Associate’s with one to three (1-3) years’ related experience and/or a Bachelor of Arts degree. Applicants with lived experience of homelessness are encouraged to apply. Must possess a valid New York State Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
Required Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates understanding of mental health, substance use and chronic medical conditions, and the related impact on housing and homelessness as well as resources in the community. Ability to work independently and with flexibility in days and hours of work. Demonstrates initiative and sound judgment.
$22.84 per hour
