Implements individualized plans of care and patient interventions under the supervision of a physical therapist. Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and providing education to patients and their caregivers.
Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program with current state licensure and BLS certification. One year of experience is preferred.
Works under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. The physical therapist assistant implements selected components of patient interventions (treatment), obtains data related to the interventions provided, and makes modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
