- Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required Emergency Department experience strongly preferred Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire and BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire and TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
