Physician, Orthopedics, Hospitalist (Sacramento, CA)

• Opportunity Information Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire an Orthopedic Hospitalist to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA.
• We are seeking an Orthopedic Hospitalist for our Adult Orthopedic Surgery Hospitalist Program.
• Key Responsibilities Provide inpatient orthopedic care during scheduled 24-hour shifts.
• Respond to urgent consults and manage perioperative care.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, APCs, and hospital staff to ensure timely and effective patient care.
• Complete all required documentation, transfer-of-care tasks, and participate in multidisciplinary discussions as needed.
• Shifts Basic Shifts which are defined as 24 hours of which 12 hours are in the hospital Monday through Friday and 10 hours on Saturday and Sunday.
• The Adult Orthopedic Hospitalist will remain on-site at SMCS during the day for a minimum of 12 hours.
• During night hours and weekends the Adult Orthopedic Hospitalist may be off-site but will have a one-hour on-site arrival response time.

Qualifications

MD or DO with Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery or relevant subspecialty. Active California medical license and DEA certification.
