About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) working the night shift full-time, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care during overnight hours.

Your primary focus will be monitoring patient health, administering medications, and providing necessary treatments while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address each patient's unique needs.

This role demands vigilance, quick decision-making, and compassionate communication to effectively respond to emergencies and changing patient conditions.

Ultimately, your contributions will support the continuous operation of healthcare services and promote positive patient outcomes throughout the night.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment within the United States.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work night shifts and manage the physical demands of nursing care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Experience working night shifts in acute care, critical care, or emergency department settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs regularly throughout the night shift.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and document all care activities in patient records.
  • Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.

Night Shift for RN shifts

6:30 pm to 7 am ($4/hr shift differential for night shift) Full-time is 3 shifts a week (12 hours each) PRN status is a minimum of 1 shift every two weeks

Requirements

Must possess a valid RN license in Missouri or a Compact RN license. BLS and ACLS certifications are required within 60 days of employment.
