Certified Medication Aide

Essential Functions

• Manage the delivery of care to Residents in a compassionate and timely manner under the direction of the Nurse Team Leader or designee.
• Administer routine daily medications, both prescription and non-prescription.
• Observe Residents and report/document changes in their condition.
• Sign medication records and re-order medications according to policy and procedure.
• Provide first aid in emergency situations and report the condition to the Nurse Team Leader and/or physician; complete incident reports as needed.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and appropriate self-care. Provide care and support as needed using restorative nursing principles to enhance residents’ functional abilities and overall well-being.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to Infection Control and safety regulations.
• Leads by example, maintaining a professional work relationship with team members, Residents, Clients, Members, Patients, and family members.

Requirements

• NJ State CMA certification.
• NJ State CNA/CHHA certification.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Strong clinical skills.
